Wendy Wright chair by Philippe Starck for Disform, 1986

Designed in 1986 by Philippe Starck and produced by Spanish manufacturer Disform, the Wendy Wright chair takes its name from the science fiction novel Ubik by Philip K. Dick. In fact, many of Starck's creations relate to the characters in this book.

The chair consists of three legs attached to a curved metal bar that forms the backrest. It is also characterized by a central foot. out, a possibility later explored for the Jane Paille chair that Starck manufactured in 1987. The seat, supported by four legs, is made of a simple metal sheet.
